The Michaelston Village Hall committee has decided to launch an appeal in an effort to raise funds to carry out essential work to the Village Hall.

These works include:

• The replacement of windows where the wood has become rotten
• Roof repairs and renewal
• Repairs to external stone and brickwork
• Modernisation of the toilet facilities
• Upgrading the kitchen
• Upgrading the heating system with sustainable solutions
• Maintenance of the car park and landscaping
• Internal decoration and repairs

Over the next few years the Village Hall will require significant funds to ensure it remains the essential community resource it has become.

The total amount required for these projects is expected to exceed £70,000.

Usually funds to cover the cost of maintaining the Village Hall are raised with events such as quizzes, shows, pantomimes, etc. However, these events only cover general maintenance and could not raised the funds required for these projects.

The Village Hall Committee would be extremely grateful for any donations to help raise the £70,000+ it needs.
