Village Cleaned Up

Villagers (and one dog) donned protective gloves and reflective jackets and set about cleaning up the litter left in grass verges and on the roadside.A total of 20 black bin liners were filled with rubbish. As well as the usual assortment of plastic bags, bottles and tin cans there were a few more unusual items such as a car wheel complete with tyre and a gas canister. Even a couple of running shoes were picked up!
After the Litter Pick everyone enjoyed a bar-b-que and some cold drinks back at the village hall.
