Join us for a wonderful afternoon of community, music and celebration as we mark 200 years of Michaelston-y-Fedw Village Hall with a Bridgerton-inspired summer gathering.

At 1pm on Saturday 18 July 2026, the village hall, carpark and church yard will come alive with live strings, lawn games, cricket, dancing and plenty of summer refreshments. Guests are invited to bring picnics or hampers, enjoy a glass of Pimm’s or summer punch, and take part in a range of fun activities throughout the day.

Highlights include the MYF Cricket Cup, Regency dance lessons followed by a grand group dance, traditional lawn games, and the search for “The Diamond of Michaelston.” The afternoon will also feature a celebratory toast by Village Hall Chairman Gareth Davies to mark this very special milestone for our community. ?

As evening approaches, the celebrations continue with a hog roast, music and dancing, making it a perfect summer event for friends, families and neighbours to come together.

Come dressed for a touch of Regency elegance if you wish — and help us celebrate two centuries at the heart of village life.

1:30-3:30pm: MYF Cricket Cup - Fast Matches & Lawn Games
2pm: Dance Lesson 1 - Learn a Regency Dance
3pm: Dance Lesson 2 - Practice for the Grand Dance
4pm: Grand Toast & Awards - Chairman's Speech & The Diamond Reveal
4:30pm: Grand Dance Performance - Regency Group Dance
5:30pm: Hog Road & DJ - Evening Celebration
